Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda TV series is set thousands of years in the future. It starred Kevin Sorbo as High Guard Captain Dylan Hunt, Lisa Ryder as Rebecca "Beka" Valentine Captain of the Eureka Maru and First Officer on Andromeda, actor Keith Hamilton Cobb as Tyr Anasazi Weapons Officer, Gordon Michael Woolvett as Seamus Zelazny Harper Engineer, Laura Bertram as Trance Gemini Doctor, Life Support Officer, Brent Stait as Science OfficerRev Bem, Lexa Doig as Ship AI Andromeda, Lexa Doig as AI's android avatar Rommie, Weapons Officer actor Steve Bacic as Telemachus Rhade, and Brandy Ledford AI's second avatar Doyle. Andromeda was a Canadian/American science fiction television series, based on unused material by the late Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry, developed by Robert Hewitt Wolfe, and produced by Roddenberry's widow, Majel Roddenberry. The series premiered on October 2, 2000 and ended on May 13, 2005.
